Lesson 41 covered reciprocal trigonometric functions like secant, cosecant, and cotangent. We spent some time going over problems where the angle was given in radian measure (Pi) rather than in degrees. If your student is struggling with radian measures, just remember that Pi is equal to 180 degrees. So convert the problem to degrees and then work it from there. We also covered permutation notation, which is the formula used when we have a permutation. In Lesson 42, we covered conic sections, and the shapes created when a plane cuts through a circular cone. Such shapes are the circle, ellipse, parabola, and hyperbola. We also reviewed the standard and general forms of the equation of a circle and practiced writing the equation of a circle using both formats.
I hope you have a great week. Let me know if you have questions!
Blessings,
Mrs. Stegall
