This week covers Lesson 36, in which we address more trignometric functions. We looked at angles greater than 360 degrees and how they are really coterminal angles to those angles less than 360 degrees that we've already worked with before. We also looked at what we call "boat in the river" or "plane in the air" problems. These problems are a continuation of rate problems, but we factored in the conditions of water and/or air speed. In Lesson 37, we reviewed more about the distance formula and the line as a locus and the midpoint formula, where we calculated a set of coordinates that are the midpoint between two other coordinates.
As these lessons continue to build on each other, it is critical to be steadfast in your daily work! Getting behind in your problem sets can really snowball at this level. I encourage you to commit to working some each day on your Advanced Math. Parents, you should administer Test 8 after Lesson 36. This test covers material through Lesson 32.
