In Shakespeare, we began our discussion of Hamlet, by going over the major characters and discussing some of the themes introduced in the beginning of the play. Read Lesson 2 in Brightest Heaven of Invention and the associated parts of the play for next week.
In Logic, there will be a quiz next week on Chapters 7, 8 and 9. That is a correction from last week's blog in which I said chapters 7 through 10. The quiz will only be on hypothetical syllogisms. We previewed Chapter 12 this week. Make sure you are doing your daily exercises!
Finally, in US History, remember that the memorization event will be on Week 12. You are memorizing parts from a speech given by a historical figure that affected US History. The timeline is 1930 -1960, but you can expand that if you want to. It can be foreign persons, if they affected US History ie. Winston Churchill, Hitler, etc. Also read Chapter 18 for next week and keep adding to your facts notebook and timeline.
Only 5 weeks left to our semester, so let's finish strong! As our Foundations students say: "Be a blessing!"
In Christ,
Mrs. Stegall
